This is a fairly common practice, and the amount paid is usually deducted from the total treatment cost. What matters is not that a deposit is requested, but the reliability of the clinic requesting it. Before making any payment, I recommend that you review the clinic's and doctor's official records, patient reviews, and accreditations; ensure that the payment is made to the corporate bank account, and that the deduction of the deposit from the total fee and the cancellation/refund conditions are stated in writing. In general, the deposit rate may vary between approximately 10–30% of the total fee at most clinics.
