Verification Process
Every doctor and clinic on DoctorVi goes through a verification check before they appear on the public site. Here is exactly what we check, and how patients can flag a problem.

What we check at onboarding
- Identity— government-issued photo ID matching the applicant's name.
- Medical license — current registration with the relevant national authority (e.g. Türk Tabipleri Birliği for Türkiye, Bundesärztekammer / regional Ärztekammer for Germany, GMC for the UK). Specialty title is matched against the national specialist register.
- Clinic licensing — for clinics, the operating permission issued by the relevant ministry of health or local authority.
- Professional liability insurance — proof of valid cover.
- Address verification — clinic address verified by registered post or via business registry.
- Sanctions and disciplinary check — open public sources are checked for known sanctions or revoked licenses.
The 'Verified' badge
A green "Verified" badge appears on a profile only after all six checks pass. Profiles whose verification has expired or whose documents are pending re-submission are shown without the badge until the renewal is complete.
Re-verification
We re-check medical license and insurance status at least once every 12 months, and immediately when:
- A patient reports a concern.
- A regulator publicly issues a sanction.
- The clinic name, address or owner changes.
What we do not verify
We do not — and cannot — guarantee individual treatment outcomes, surgeon skill on a specific case, or quality of post-operative care. A "Verified" badge means the legal credentials are in order; it is not a quality grade.
Reporting a fake or problematic profile
If you suspect a profile is fake, the credentials are misrepresented, or you have a serious concern about a doctor or clinic, contact [email protected].
Reports are reviewed within 48 hours. While the case is open, we may temporarily suspend the badge or hide the profile.
